Supports the mission of the university by: This position coordinates, manages, and enforces all requirements related to the following student travel abroad programs: short-term faculty-led study abroad programs, internships/mentorships, research, competitions/conferences and missions trips. This positions serves as the primary point of coordination for over 30 faculty led courses that has historically resulted in over 600 students participating annually, which is over 70% of all study abroad participation on campus. This position also plays a key or complementary role in travel registration, student applicant management, program director training, and compliance issues governing best practices according to the Department of Justice endorsed Forum for Education Abroad Standards (of which Baylor is a member). As part of the fastest growing segment in study abroad nationally, faculty led coordination is mission critical to study abroad running smoothly and effectively.

Manage student applications for faculty-led programs to include: Handle walk-in questions from faculty, staff, and students, Prepares applications for review, Add detail and activity codes to Banner profiles, Follow up diligently to ensure accurate data 40.00 %

Coordinate strategic communication which includes, but is not limited to, website, brochure pages, and digital media with a focus on faculty led programs 20.00 %

*

Ensure compliance with university policies and guidelines for program participation. This includes: Program renewal forms, Volunteer background checks, Coordinating international insurance matters 10.00 %

Advises students/parents on study abroad opportunities through one-on-one engagement, study abroad fairs, & established program such as Premiere, Summer Orientation, campus visits, etc. Presents study abroad opportunities to large audiences. 20.00 %
